The grand opening of drybar in Perkins Rowe, one store down from Kendra Scott if you are coming from the parking lot or garage and not from the Barnes and Noble, this past Friday December 18th gave me an acute case of “eyegasm.”
High attention to detail was paid to the decoration of this locale. There was a pop of yellow everywhere you turned, from the stylists to the small end tables in the entrance and outside, to the card holders in the shape of a blow-dryer attachment piece (GENIUS).
The invitation read “BYOH” (Bring Your Own Hair) and that I did. Although I had my hair styled earlier that day this was an event not to be missed. Drybar‘s philosophy is quite simple “No Cuts. No Color. Just Blowouts!” Founder Alli Webb and her team of experts started this concept in 2008, seven years later and 43 drybar locations fully operational establish this business as a well thought out idea.
With the most delectable menu in town, blowout styles include: Straight Up, Manhattan, Cosmo, Mai Tai, Cosmo-Tai, Dirty Martini, and Southern Comfort. And did I mention that these styles are only $40! Prices vary depending on styles not mentioned and membership packages offered. They also sell their own line of styling products and styling tools (all yellow of course).
My experience was a delight. Jordan, my stylist for the day, gave me tons of insightful information on drybar’s products and services as well as styling tips to use when styling my hair. And he was so much fun to talk to. Loved him!
